"It's terrific to have a house, and when something goes wrong, to put in a work order rather than getting the phone book to try to find a repairman."

As part of The Presbyterian Homes Inc., Scotia Village shares in a 50+ year commitment to providing the best in continuing care retirement living. PHI operates three communities in NC and is one of the largest not-for-profit sponsors of continuing care retirement communities (CCRC) in the state. Scotia Village began in 1988, and since that time, over 860 people have called Scotia Village home.
Scotia Village believes the continuing care concept offers today’s retirees the best opportunity to continue and even enhance their already active and independent lifestyles. Through programs and opportunities, the Scotia Village lifestyle provides residents the services and support they need to stay independent for as long as possible. Beyond independent living, Scotia Village provides security and peace-of-mind to our residents. Residents know that if they ever need healthcare that those services are available within the Scotia Village community.
Research has shown that people who choose to live in a CCRC live longer than those who do not. Further, and more importantly, people who choose to live in a CCRC have a better quality of life than those who do not.
As a not-for-profit, faith-based, mission driven community, our commitment is to you.
Our Mission
To provide an inviting and secure continuing care environment to support the physical, social, emotional and spiritual needs of our residents across the span of the aging process.
