Located in Scotland County, Scotia Village is in Laurinburg, NC. As the county name implies, the area was settled by Scottish immigrants in the 1700’s. This Scottish heritage is still strong in Scotland County. The marching band for Scotland High School performs in authentic Scottish regalia, and you will find plenty of Mc’s and Mac’s in our local phone book. In fact, the word Scotia literally means of Scotland.
Because of its wonderful location, Scotland County is known as the “Crossroads of the Carolinas”. This area is very convenient to many of the metropolitan areas of both North and South Carolina. It is within a one to two-hour drive to and from Pinehurst, Fayetteville, Charlotte, Raleigh, Greensboro, Wilmington, Columbia and Myrtle Beach. Also, Laurinburg is minutes from I-95. Our location enables you to enjoy the charming lifestyle of a small town while having the indulgences of the larger world close by. Though Laurinburg is a smaller town, an abundance of opportunities and services are available in town or close by.
